				Austragungsmodus:
				Die NFL-Saison 1997 ist die 78. Saison der US-amerikanischen Footballliga National Football League (NFL).
				Während der Regular Season bestreitet jedes Team 16 Spiele. Daran anschließend spielen die besten Teams in der Postseason in Playoffs um den Meistertitel.
				An den Playoffs nehmen jeweils die drei Divisionssieger und die drei weiteren besten Teams (die sogenannten Wild Card Teams) einer Conference teil.
				Die daraus ermittelten Meister von AFC und NFC treffen im 32. Super Bowl aufeinander.
				Teilnehmer:
				In dieser Saison besteht die National Football League (NFL) aus 30 Teams.
				Die American Football Conference (AFC) ist in drei Divisionen unterteilt mit jeweils fünf Teams in der AFC East, AFC Central und AFC West.
				Die National Football Conference (NFC) ist in drei Divisionen unterteilt mit jeweils fünf Teams in der NFC East, NFC Central und NFC West.
