				Austragungsmodus:
				Die NHL-Saison 1998/1999 ist die 82. Saison der nordamerikanischen National Hockey League (NHL).
				Während der Regular Season bestreitet jedes Team 82 Spiele.
				An den Playoffs nehmen aus jeder Conference die drei Divisionssieger sowie die fünf weiteren punktbesten Teams teil.
				Über Achtelfinale (Division-Halbfinale, Best of seven), Viertelfinale (Division-Finale, Best of seven),
				Halbfinale (Conference-Finale, Best of seven) und Finale (Best of seven) wird der Stanley Cup ausgespielt.
				Teilnehmer:
				In dieser Saison besteht die National Hockey League (NHL) aus 27 Teams.
				Die Eastern Conference ist in drei Divisionen unterteilt mit fünf Teams in der Atlantic Division, fünf in der Northeast Division und vier in der Southeast Division.
				Die Western Conference ist in drei Divisionen unterteilt mit vier Teams in der Central Division, vier in der Northwest Division und fünf in der Pacific Division.
